What is covered?
Death
Compensation will be paid to the Named Beneficiary or the deceased’s estate.
Disability
Compensation for Permanent and Temporary Disability based on the severity.
Medical Expenses
Coverage for necessary expenses up to 24 months from the date of the injury.
Compensation details:
Fully covered:
- Permanent total disablement: 100% of the Capital Sum
- Total loss of speech or sight: 100%
- Hearing loss: 100% for both ears, 25% for one ear
- Loss of Limb: 100%
Partially covered:
- Loss of fingers: 70% for all fingers on one hand, 15% for the index finger, 6% for any other finger
- Loss of toes: 32% for all toes on one foot, 5% for the big toe, 2% for any other toe
What is not covered?
Compensation will not be payable if the bodily injury
- Occurs after the anniversary date immediately succeeding the insured person’s 70th birthday.
- Results from any serious physical defect or infirmity suffered by the insured person.
- Takes place while the insured person is actually.
- Flying as a member or acting member of any aircrew or for the purpose of any trade or technical operation in or on the aircraft or (with his or her knowledge) in any aircraft not licensed to carry passengers or not flown by a properly licensed pilot.
- Participating in any sport as a professional, or playing rugby.
- Travelling on a motorcycle.
- Results from Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) or AIDS related complex (ARC) howsoever this syndrome has been acquired or may be named.
Important:
- Compensation for permanent disability reduces the amount payable for Death resulting from the same injury.
- Compensation for death for persons under 14 years is limited to P500.
